Bamford isn't believed to be on the League One side's list of targets at this point, despite reports stating otherwise.
Reports linking Wrexham with a potential move for Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford are wide of the mark.
According to ESPN, Bamford is not on the League One side's list of targets for this window despite the fact he had been linked with a switch to North Wales.
The Dragons are currently aiming to secure three promotions in a row, something that would be a magnificent achievement, even with the financial backing they have.
But they will probably need to strengthen their squad during this window to give themselves the best chance of securing a place in the Championship ahead of Wycombe Wanderers, who have also done very well this season.
Richard Kone has been on top form for Wycombe - and Wrexham need a talisman like him to guide Parkinson's side into the top two and keep them there.
They may have some decent options on paper, when they're all fit, with Paul Mullin, Jack Marriott, Steven Fletcher and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson all impressing at this level or higher in the past.
But they need a more prolific forward to come in - and it would be a surprise if Parkinson's side don't address this area before the window shuts in February.
It's fair to say that Bamford hasn't been a hugely prolific figure since Leeds' return to the Championship.
His game time has been fairly limited by injury issues and players being ahead of him in the pecking order, but many would have expected him to make more of an impact in front of goal, regardless of this.
A January move away doesn't look to be possible either, with the player picking up a hamstring issue that looks set to keep him out of action beyond the end of the winter window.
And ESPN have now reported that Parkinson's side aren't interested in a move for him, though they are in the market for a striker or two.
Bamford could have had a key role in the team, as an experienced striker who has shone in the Premier League before.
But he hasn't made enough of an impact since the Whites' return to their current division.
A fresh start for him at another club during the summer could work out well for all parties - because it would allow Leeds to offload his wages and another club to benefit from Bamford's ability.
There's no doubt that he's an excellent forward when in top form.
