Leeds United sign midfielder Anton Stach from Hoffenheim | OneFootball

Leeds United have announced the signing of German international defensive midfielder Anton Stach on a four-year deal.

The newly-promoted side have paid TSG Hoffenheim a reported £17 million for the 26-year-old who scored twice and assisted two more in 39 games last season.

"I am really excited to play at home with the fans because I think the fans are really good here and as well away," Stach said on signing for the Whites.

"I want to feel the atmosphere because I heard and I saw so many videos of the fans, the promotion [parade] last year over 150,000 people in the city.

"I think that is awesome. That is crazy when the team has a connection to the city. And I think then when you have fans like this, the fans get you some points as well in the league."

Stach is Leeds sixth summer signing of the transfer window and the third player to arrive from the Bundesliga following Lukas Nmecha and Sebastiaan Bornauw who both joined from Wolfsburg.
