That's according to John Percy of The Telegraph, who is reporting the latest regarding the 23-year-old, who will bolster Daniel Farke's options at right-back following the departures of Luke Ayling, Jamie Shackleton, Connor Roberts, Rasmus Kristensen, and Archie Gray this summer.

The news of Leeds' interest initially broke via Mike McGrath. Leeds then had two bids rejected for Jayden Bogle, with the Whites hoping to land the Sheffield United right-back. The 23-year-old has just a year remaining on his contract at Bramall Lane.

Football Insider are reporting that the player is keen to move to Elland Road, but two bids have now been rejected by Chris Wilder's side. Meanwhile, Alan Nixon reported that the two clubs are well apart with their valuations of Bogle so far, with the Blades wanting closer to £7 million if Bogle were to make the trip across Yorkshire to join their Championship rivals.

A recent report from the Yorkshire Evening Post is that Leeds have had a bid rejected for Bogle, but the club remained interested in the right-back and Chris Wilder has previously admitted that every player will have their price this summer. Football Insider have since reported that the player is keen on the move, but the second offer of around £4 million was knocked back despite improvements involving the payment structure.

In a fresh update last night, the Sheffield Star revealed that a move is now moving closer, with Bogle set to miss the Blades’ friendly against Chesterfield today.

The update from The Star explains that Leeds have remained in discussion with their Championship rivals after seeing an initial bid turned down, and there is now an expectation that a deal will be agreed.

Now, John Percy has revealed the details of their breakthrough, which has seen a compromise of around £5 million met between the two clubs, who will both be vying for promotion from the Championship this season:

It's a move that is a sensible one for Leeds to consider, with Bogle also winning promotion two seasons ago automatically with Sheffield United, which is the aim again for Farke and co. this term, whilst also weakening one of their promotion rivals by moving from South to West Yorkshire.

The Whites are also adding a player with plenty of experience at a young age, who is yet to turn 24 this summer. He will bring quality and is young enough to continue developing over the next few years.

As it stands, the only right-back option Leeds have on their books for next season is Sam Byram, but he has had a tough time with injuries in his career to date.

Bogle is experienced for someone so young but also has a better career injury record than Byram, and makes a lot of sense for the Whites as an option at full-back, even though he and Junior Firpo would be a very attack-minded starting duo overlapping down the flanks.
