Leeds target Amadou Koné nearing Neom move | OneFootball

Stade de Reims midfielder Amadou Koné (20) is in advanced talks to sign recently promoted Saudi Pro League side Neom SC, according to a report from L’Équipe.

Despite Reims’ relegation to Ligue 2 last season, Koné, as well as midfield partner Valentin Atangana, finished the campaign with their reputations enhanced. The former, given Les Stadistes’ relegation, has been expected to leave and has garnered interest from across Europe.

As per L’Équipe, the Ivory Coast youth international has attracted the interest of OGC Nice, whilst Leeds United, recently promoted to the Premier League, have also been in the race. However, it seems that Koné’s future will lie outside of Europe.

The midfielder is in advanced talks to sign for Neom SC. The value of the deal is estimated to be around €12m. The Saudi club are also on the verge of completing a deal for Alexandre Lacazette, whose deal at Olympique Lyonnais is on the verge of expiry.
