Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell will reportedly not be joining Toulouse after the deal collapsed.

The 21-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirement at Elland Road and the Yorkshire outfit are looking to sell him in the ongoing transfer window.

Toulouse showed an interest in the talented centre-back and agreed a fee around £3.8 million.

Cresswell travelled to France on Monday to undergo a medical but the move has now been called off and the player has returned to England, per the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The England Under-21 international has failed to establish himself in the first-team after coming through the Whites’ youth ranks.

He was sent on loan to Millwall for the 2022-23 campaign, where he featured in 28 Championship games.

But the 21-year-old struggled for first-team opportunities under manager Daniel Farke last season.

Leeds are now prepared to sell him this summer to make space in the squad for new recruits.

They are yet to make a signing in the current transfer window but are expected to make several additions over the coming weeks.

The Whites missed out on an immediate return to the English top-flight after losing to Southampton in the play-off final.

Under boss Daniel Farke, they will push for Premier League promotion again this season.
