Rafael Leao admits that the game against Juventus was a turning point for him and Milan and insists that Sergio Conceiçao has brought a ‘different’ aura to the team.

Milan returned to Italy with the Supercoppa trophy on Tuesday morning.

The Rossoneri recovered from two goals down against Inter on Monday, claiming a 3-2 victory.

Leao returned from an injury and played a key role in the Rossoneri’s comeback last night.

“It was a team performance. We did great work, and we are happy,” Leao told reporters, including Gazzetta’s.

The Portuguese winger admitted that he didn’t expect such a significant result on December 29, when the Rossoneri sacked Paulo Fonseca and hired Conceiçao.

“Maybe not, but when the coach arrived, he brought a different aura, like the one of yesterday,” he said.

“There was a change, and to see the Juventus game from the outside gave us a lot.”

After last night’s win in Riyadh, Leao had already praised his compatriot, saying that he brought the “energy everyone needed.”

Leao has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 23 appearances across all competitions this season.

Milan’s next game is against Cagliari at San Siro on January 11.

The Rossoneri sit 8th in the Serie A table, eight points below the top four, but they have two games in hand.
