Lazio Deny Transfer Market Crisis Reports: “Misleading News”

Lazio have categorically refuted the circulating reports regarding their transfer market crisis and inability to sign new players this summer.

Several sources in the Italian press depicted a catastrophic scenario on Thursday, mainly Il Messaggero and Il Corriere dello Sport. These reports claimed that COVISOC (the body that monitors the clubs’ finances in Italy) has decided to block the Biancocelesti’s transfer market plans. In other words, the club would be allowed to sell players, but is prevented from signing new ones.

Nevertheless, Lazio have now released a statement on the club’s official website denying the whole story, while insisting that the club remains in a healthy financial situation and will be able to conduct business as usual.
