Several FC Barcelona players were in action as they played for their respective national sides last night. Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, and Dani Olmo all played for Spain in their UEFA Nations League semi-final game against France, while Clement Lenglet was on the opposite side.
Spain came out as the winner of this game with a 5-4 scoreline, and the youngster Lamine Yamal was once again excellent, as he scored a brace and provided another assist to get the MOTM award and get his side into the final of the competition.

As Mundo Deportivo has noted, with this win, Yamal once again got the better of the Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe, after having already done so four times with Barcelona this season.
The young winger was crucial for his side throughout the game. He was integral in the build-up to the first goal, which was finished nicely by Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal.
He also saw a yellow card, showing his defensive contribution, won a penalty, which he himself converted, and scored his second goal with a clever move in the box.
On the other hand, €170 million-rated Real Madrid ace was far from his best and looked to be already on holiday. He barely got on the ball in the first half, and his only notable contribution in this game was the penalty he scored in the second half.

In fact, it was Ousmane Dembele who would have generated more attention in the French national team, as he is the top contender for the Ballon d’Or with Lamine Yamal.
On Sunday, Lamine Yamal will be playing in the UEFA Nations League final against Portugal, in a match in which he will face another highly prominent opponent, Cristiano Ronaldo. If he ends up winning that game, he will take a definitive step towards winning the Ballon d’Or.
