Real Betis have made a significant move in the race to sign Barcelona forward Vitor Roque, as per a report from COPE.

Betis are reportedly offering Barcelona two options to facilitate the transfer: a two-year loan deal or a payment structure that would secure the player on a permanent basis.

However, it must be noted that they are not the only club vying for Roque’s signature. Portuguese outfit Sporting have also entered the fray, reportedly willing to meet Barcelona’s asking price of €30 million right away.

Roque wants Betis

It is no secret that Barcelona are working tirelessly to finalise the departure of players who do not fit into Hansi Flick’s plans and Roque is one of the players at the centre of these efforts.

Recent developments suggest that he is leaning towards a move to Real Betis. However, negotiations with Barcelona may not be straightforward. This is because Barcelona are keen on securing a permanent transfer.

Hence, Betis are exploring different strategies to bring Roque. While they may be willing to meet Barcelona’s valuation, they are also considering the possibility of a loan deal or acquiring a portion of his rights, which could spread the financial burden.

What about Sporting?

Sporting’s interest complicates matters further. The Portuguese side has the financial capability to meet Barcelona’s demands outright, which could make them a more attractive option for the Catalan giants.

However, Roque’s preference could play a pivotal role in the final decision.

As the clock ticks down on the transfer window, all eyes will be on Barcelona as they navigate the complexities of this potential deal.

Whether Roque ends up at Real Betis on loan or as a permanent transfer to another club, one thing is clear: Barcelona are determined to ensure that any deal involving the young forward benefits them both financially and strategically.

The coming days will reveal whether Real Betis can overcome the hurdles or if Sporting will swoop in to secure the Brazilian’s services.
