Here’s how the official Celtic FC match report described Kyogo’s wonderful piece of skill and deadly finish:
‘Celtic’s third goal of the afternoon, which came in the 84th minute, was a thing of beauty. James Forrest threaded the ball through to Kyogo, who quickly adjusted his feet to give himself a chance to finish.
‘He then expertly lifted the ball over Jordan Smith and in to the net to put the game to bed and secure another three points.’
Kyogo of course enjoys a goal against theRangers and he scored a magnificent winner in the New Year game last year played just before Hogmanay.
He’s scored at Ibrox on a few occasions and his goals are always crucial ones against them. The winner in Brendan’s first game back over the road and the equaliser in that 2-2 New Year draw in 2023 will live long in the memory.

The Japanese hitman was on fine goalscoring form at the weekend, grabbing a double in the 4-0 win over St Johnstone, with The Celtic Star predicting both the scoreline and that Kyogo would score a double in our match preview. Same again tomorrow Kyogo.
