Konsa Gets 8.5, Asensio With 7.5 | Aston Villa Players Rated In Solid Win Vs Tottenham Hotspur

Aston Villa entertained Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Ezri Konsa finally broke the deadlock for the West Midlands club in the 59th minute before Boubacar Kamara doubled his team’s advantage in the 73rd minute. Unai Emery’s men ended up securing a solid 2-0 win in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Aston Villa player fared during the clash against Spurs.
GK: Emiliano Martinez – 7/10
He made one solid save at the back and secured an important clean sheet at Villa Park.
RB: Matty Cash – 7/10
Cash performed his defensive duties well and made two good runs with the ball.
CB: Ezri Konsa – 8.5/10
He gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and managed to score the opener in the 59th minute.
CB: Pau Torres – 7/10
The Spanish defender cleared the danger when he could and was a good presence on the ball.

LB: Ian Maatsen – 7/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and made two driving runs with the ball on the left wing.
CM: Boubacar Kamara – 7.5/10
Kamara caught the eye at times and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the second half.
CM: Amadou Onana – 7/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and made one key chance going forward.
RW: Morgan Rogers – 7/10
Rogers proved his worth at times on the right flank and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CAM: Marco Asensio – 7.5/10
He was a constant menace in the final third but there was no goal for him tonight.
LW: John McGinn – 7/10
McGinn worked his socks off in the opposition half and managed to engineer a couple of decent chances for others around him.
ST: Ollie Watkins – 7/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal and ended the game with an assist to his name.
