It is evident enough already that Hansi Flick’s Barcelona does not look for any excuses. Irrespective of injuries or suspensions, the team is completely committed to performing at their best no matter what. Fortunately, the mental strength of this Barcelona team is at a high level.
Across every single competition, through both injuries and registration issues, Barça has remained a force to be reckoned with. However, it can never hurt to have the entirety of the squad available, especially considering the kind of calendar that the team has to deal with.
For that reason, Ronald Araujo’s currently discomfort is something that Barcelona would ideally hope to have sorted out as soon as possible. Despite the player being unable to return to training with the rest of his teammates previously, there is somewhat of a positive update now.
As highlighted by SPORT, the Uruguayan defender finally returned to training with the rest of his teammates but only took part in some of it. However, even this partial participation is a good first step and it remains to be seen whether or not he can be available for the next game.
With the match against Rayo Vallecano coming up soon in La Liga, Araujo’s availability is not a guarantee just yet. Previously, it was ruled out that the player had suffered a major injury but there is still some discomfort that the Barcelona captain is trying to shake off it seems.
Either way, there is no urgency in regards to needing him back for the game against Rayo. With Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi, and Eric Garcia available, Hansi Flick does have some reliable options at his disposal. Moreover, with Andreas Christensen expected to be back soon as well, Hansi Flick’s Barcelona looks good to go even without Araujo being a guarantee right now for the next game.
