Bayern Munich star Harry Kane says Inter ‘celebrated like they won the tie’ but he has a ‘positive feeling’ despite missing a big chance in the first half against the Nerazzurri.
Kane’s Bayern Munich suffered their first home defeat in four years on Tuesday, suffering a 2-1 loss against Inter in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.
Kane had a massive opportunity to break the deadlock in the first half, but sent his shot wide of the far post, while Lautaro Martinez didn’t miss his chance a few minutes later.
“It doesn’t happen very often, but it’s the life of a striker. Sometimes it does. One of those,” Kane said in the mixed zone last night.
“I’ve started too far out, and it came out of the post. There were a couple of half chances in the second half as well. You have to take the highs and the lows. The good thing is I’m getting chances and I think it’s a positive feeling.”

“Tough game, Inter are a very good team, but I think we were in control for large spells, especially in the second half,” Kane continued.
“I thought it was a dominant performance. It’s disappointing to concede the way we did. Obviously, it leaves a bad feeling. We always have to believe we can turn it around. We’re a dangerous team against any opposition. I know they celebrated like they won the tie at the end, but it’s all to play for. It’s one goal and 90 minutes to play.”
The second leg will be played at San Siro next week, on Wednesday, April 16.
Thomas Muller scored a late equaliser for Bayern Munich last night, but it was quickly cancelled out by Italy international Davide Frattesi, who won the game for Inter at minute 88.
