Juventus take on Real Madrid tonight with a place in the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals at stake.
The Old Lady opened the tournament with emphatic wins over Al-Ain and Wydad AC, but were dealt a reality check following a 5-2 loss to Manchester City.
A runners-up finish to City in the group stage has led to a tough draw with five-time Club World Cup winners Real Madrid in their path. It’s a first meeting between the teams since the 2017/18 Champions League quarter-finals.
Igor Tudor rested some key names for the defeat to Manchester City with progress already assured. Randal Kolo Muani and the in-form Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceicao are expected to return to the starting side.
Yildiz scored three times and provided an assist across the opening two games of the tournament. Conceicao and Kolo Muani have also netted twice each at this summer’s finals.
Manuel Locatelli returned to the team from injury against City but Tudor could revert to the partnership of Weston McKennie and Khephren Thuram in midfield. Gleison Bremer is with the squad as the Brazilian nears his return from an ACL injury,
Juventus predicted XI: Di Gregorio; Savona, Gatti, Kelly; Costa, Thuram, McKennie, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Kolo Muani, Yildiz.
Real Madrid face Juventus in the FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 on Tuesday 1st July 2025. Kick-off is 8pm BST.
In the UK, DAZN will show each match of the tournament live.
