Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus won’t match Manchester United’s €40m offer for Jean Clair Todibo, but they would rather try to get the French defender on loan with an obligation to buy.
Todibo has emerged as a primary defensive target for Serie A giants Juventus, who have already announced two summer signings, Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa and Michele Di Gregorio from Monza.
The third one, Khephren Thuram, will join the Bianconeri in the coming days and Juventus hope to put their hands on his OGC Nice teammate Todibo as well.
Manchester United had reached an agreement to sign the French centre-back on a €40m transfer, but UEFA blocked the transfer under multi-club ownership rules, so the ex-Barcelona defender is still available on the market.
As per Gazzetta and Il Corriere dello Sport, Todibo is open to joining Juventus, but the Serie A giants won’t match Manchester United’s €40m offer.
On the other hand, the Old Lady directors are already working on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
