According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri took a risk by signing him on loan with no guarantees for the future, but they are supremely confident he’ll stay with them for years to come. Unless it has some loopholes and isn’t a standard one, activating the release clause is unlikely since it generally has to be settled on the nail and not in installments like any normal transfer. The sum seemed high at first, but his performances justify the investment, although they’ll surely look for a way to limit the disbursement since they already spent a decent buck to have him this season. The decision to cash in on Matias Soulé and sign new wingers mostly derived from financial reasons, but it has worked out on the pitch as well, as, besides the Roma mess, he’s not as explosive.
