Juventus are among the clubs interested in signing Canada star Jonathan David as a free agent, but the Old Lady will need to qualify for the Champions League to compete with Inter and Barcelona.
Lille and Canada striker David has recently confirmed that he’ll leave his club as a free agent in June. David’s contract with the French side runs out this coming June.
“I’m free at the end of the season. And regarding my future, I hope to progress already, become a better player, and play in the biggest clubs in the world if I succeed,” the striker told Onze Mondial.
“But above all, I just want to have fun; never forget that football is fun. I started football because it was a thrill. And even if it has become a job, you must remember that I wake up every morning for football and fun.”

Tuttosport confirms that Juventus are among the clubs interested in Canada international, but Bianconeri are not the only club in the race.
Barcelona and Inter are long-time admirers of David, and the 25-year-old previously suggested that a move to Catalunya would suit him.
Inter have already made contact with the striker’s entourage, while Juventus can rely on Timothy Weah, one of his ex-teammates at Lille, who has already spoken to David about the Bianconeri’s environment.
However, income from the Champions League and the chance to play in Europe’s elite competition is key for the Bianconeri to compete with their transfer rivals.
