Juventus came close to signing Karim Adeyemi last summer and also kicked the tires on him in January, when instead Napoli pursued him with great resolve. The forward decided to stay put at Borussia Dortmund for two windows in a row, with the Bianconeri anticipating a more forceful chase in the upcoming one.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, despite recent ties, he’s not a target for the Old Lady now. Their brass is focusing on finding two physical center-forwards. Their plans have changed in the last few months. It’s also the case for David Hancko.
Adeyemi hired new agents not too long ago, and he’s more likely to end up in the Premier League than at Juventus or Napoli. He’ll probably leave if Borussia Dortmund don’t qualify for the Champions League, TuttoSport informs. They need some help heading into the season finale.
The Partenopei had agreed to a €40M fee to sign him in January, but he nixed the move. As for Hancko, he has received a rich offer from Al-Nassr. He’s evaluating it, but the negotiation isn’t on its homestretch, Matteo Moretto informs (via Europa Calcio).
In reality, other than for his quality, they could use somebody with his traits, as they can’t conceivably go into the season with just Kenan Yildiz, Nicolas Gonzalez, and Samuel Mbangula as their only wingers. Francisco Conceiçao is likely to head back to Porto. And, since he can handle the no.9 position, he’d spare them the trouble of finding two pure options there, concentrating their efforts and resources on an elite one. As for the defender, he’s probably become too pricey to their liking.
