Juventus Line Up Three Signings Following Big Exits

Even though time is running out on the transfer market, Juventus aren’t budging from their plan of completing some major sales before adding to their squad. Furthermore, they haven’t moved on from the targets they have been pursuing for most of the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the main domino is the deal with Nottingham Forest involving Douglas Luiz. The Tricky Trees have agreed to personal terms with the midfielder. He’ll keep earning €5M annually like in Turin. The teams have almost reached the finish line for a loan with a conditional obligation to buy for €30/35M.

Juventus will quickly reutilize the money to bring back Randal Kolo Muani. They are in advanced talks with PSG for a €45/50M package with the same formula. The ownership has signed off on the signing even if Dusan Vlahovic stays. Instead, Matt O’Riley could replace the fill the Brazilian outcast.

The departure of Nicolas Gonzalez is the other obstacle to unlocking two more moves. The Bianconeri demand €30M to avoid a loss on their balance sheets. He’s been handling a pair of roles, and the Old Lady covets Nahuel Molina and Edon Zhegrova to replenish them. However, they disagree with their respective team’s €25M valuations in both cases and wish to negotiate them down.

Our Take on the Juventus Strategy

The math doesn’t really add up, while the benefits from a technical and tactical standpoint would be significant. A swap between Molina and Gonzalez seems like a logical outcome, as neither is indispensable for their present sides.
