Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is a target for Juventus this summer (h/t the Telegraph).
The Bianconeri are preparing for the potential departure of Dusan Vlahovic, and Jackson is on their shortlist of replacements.
Jackson has been a polarising figure since he left Villarreal for Chelsea two seasons ago. He bagged 10 goals and five assists in 30 Premier League appearances last term.
He delivered 14 goals and five assists the previous season. Jackson earned plaudits for his hold-up play, ability to drive at defences, and relentless running behind backlines.
However, he also came under fire for his profligacy, missing 19 big chances in the league this term after 24 last season.
His penchant for picking up needless cards struck a nerve with the Stamford Bridge faithful, especially after his red card versus Newcastle United in a crunch league game.
He also received another needless red card in Chelsea’s FIFA Club World Cup clash with Fluminense.
Combined with the fact that Chelsea have signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, the door is open for Jackson to leave the club this summer.
Manchester United, Newcastle and Juventus are showing interest, but the Blues reportedly want around £80 million to let him leave.
They are cash-strapped after turning loan deals for Francisco Conceicao, Nico Gonzalez, Lloyd Kelly, Pierre Kalulu and Michele Di Gregorio into permanent transfers.
Jackson would be a terrific addition to the Juventus frontline. However, they would need to be creative financially to get Chelsea to agree to part ways with the Senegalese international.
