Juventus beginning to accept Vlahovic fate with lack of serious offers | OneFootball

Tuesday’s reports suggest that Juventus are beginning to accept the fact that Dusan Vlahovic may see out the final year of his contract before leaving the club on a free transfer next summer, as the Bianconeri have still not received any serious offers for the Serbia international.

Suggestions Vlahovic is increasingly likely to stay at Juventus

Juventus have been actively seeking a sale of Vlahovic, who is now into the final year of his contract at the Allianz Stadium. The 25-year-old will earn a reported €12m in the final year of his Bianconeri deal, which makes him the highest earner in the division.

Juventus have already brought in Canada international Jonathan David this summer and are also pushing for the return of former loanee Randal Kolo Muani, which means that Vlahovic could end up as the third choice striker in Turin if he decides to stay according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, all while being the highest earner in the division.

To make matters worse for Juve, Vlahovic would then walk away on a free transfer at the end of the season. The Old Lady had paid a fee in excess of €70m including bonuses to sign him from Fiorentina in 2022.

Vlahovic’s salary is an issue for Milan as well. The Rossoneri have explored a potential deal with the Serbian, given that they are also in need of new attacking additions this summer, but have not yet submitted any type of formal proposal to the Bianconeri.

There had been some interest from Saudi Arabia, and from Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, but similarly, a move to either of those destinations has not yet materialised.

This leaves Juventus looking at the increasingly likely scenario where Vlahovic stays put for the final year of his contract, potentially as the third-choice striker under Igor Tudor.
