Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has this evening etched his name yet further into the history books of the club.

Real, of course, are currently locked in action, in a La Liga clash.

Having long wrapped up the Spanish top-flight title, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops have welcomed Alavés to the Spanish capital.

And, amid what has proven a comfortable evening’s work for Los Blancos to date, the aforementioned Bellingham has taken his place front and centre once more.

The Englishman was responsible for opening the scoring in Spain’s capital, getting on the end of a sumptuous Toni Kroos delivery to loft an inch-perfect finish into the far corner.

And, in the process, Bellingham secured for himself yet more history.

As revealed by statisticians Opta, the 20-year-old has now managed the 4th-most league goals of any player in their debut season for Real Madrid in the 21st century.

Not only that, but he is the highest-scoring midfielder on the list, with 19, trailing only the iconic trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Ronaldo Nazário.
