Joan Laporta responds to Barcelona fan’s request to ‘sign more players’ | OneFootball

Barcelona president Joan Laporta was on Thursday pressed on the potential arrival of further reinforcements to Hansi Flick’s squad by a young supporter.

Barcelona, of course, endured a quiet window on the transfer front this past summer.

Owing to the club’s ongoing financial woes, Deco and co. saw their hands tied when it came to securing reinforcements, Dani Olmo the only major addition to the Blaugrana’s ranks with a view to the new season.

Calls, as a result, have already begun to mount for Barca to splash the cash in January, by which point it is hoped the club will have returned to the much-discussed 1:1 rule.

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, Joan Laporta was drawn on precisely as much by a member of the Blaugrana’s fanbase.

During a public appearance this afternoon, Barcelona’s president was asked ‘to sign more players’.

The Spanish patron, however, responded by assuring:

“But we have great players!“

Then asked ‘will we win the Champions League?,’ Laporta continued:

“We will do everything possible..

“Now, what we have to do is continue like this, little by little, we are doing things well, there is a good atmosphere in the club and in the locker room”
