Jacob Ramsey set for Newcastle medical | OneFootball

Newcastle United are close to completing the signing of Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa with the transfer moving into its final stage.

The two clubs have now agreed a fee of £40 million for the midfielder with journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that the 24-year-old has accepted personal terms and will travel for a medical to complete the move.

Ramsey came through the academy at Aston Villa and made his debut under Dean Smith at the age of 17 in 2019. Since then Ramsey has made 167 appearances for the Villans, scoring 17 times.

Should the deal be completed as expected, Ramsey will be the Magpies' fourth first team signing of the summer.
