One feared situation is already apparently starting. And Leicester City's Blue Army fan base can once again blame the shortsighted and incompetent contemporary Foxes hierarchy. It's a real shame when detrimental scenarios are of your own making with nobody else to blame. LCFC's mismanagement, lack of foresight (and a bit of back luck to be fair) might perhaps cost them potentially their most valuable asset of all-time.
City now face a fight to keep this up-and-coming player who is being raved about. At the tender age of 15 years old, the young footballer has reportedly been monitored by English Premier League clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea. Not to mention Spanish superclubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona eyeing up the east Midlands outfit's prime starlet. Reports state that the promising youngster, who trains with Leicester's senior squad, will be targeted for a transfer in the summer.
How did City manage to be in a particularly precarious position without this highly regarded athlete protected from poaching? The boy in question is likely to be in two minds about staying on Filbert Way due to a number of negative King Power factors at present. The potential drop to the Championship is one major element surely deterring signings and existing personnel. The way the club is so publicly poorly managed is another. And any prospect or senior player would have their head turned by Real, Barca, Man City and the Blues anyway. So, can LCFC retain their prized young baller?
The Citizens are in a 'race' with rivals Chelsea for Jeremy Monga's signature, it is claimed. Monga is particularly rated amongst Leicester youth stars. MailSport’s Tom Collomosse now suggests the aforementioned EPL clubs and others are keeping close respective eyes on the talent.
"According to the information of MailSport’s Tom Collomosse, Manchester City and Chelsea are among the ‘leading European clubs’ keeping a close eye on Leicester City’s Jeremy Monga, who is already training regularly with the first team at just 15 years-old.It is further claimed that European giants Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona have also made enquiries about the teenager, who can play in other roles across the front line in addition to his preference of being a wide winger."City Extra
