‘It’s another world’ – Crvena Zvezda manager praises ‘dominant’ AS Monaco following Champions League thrashing | OneFootball

Crvena Zvezda were blown away in the second half of their UEFA Champions League encounter against AS Monaco, ultimately losing 5-1.

It means that the Serbian side, top of their domestic championship and having conceded just seven goals all season so far in the league, are still without a single point in their Champions League campaign. Despite competing for a point in the first half, Crvena Zvezda were outmatched physically in the second, conceding chance after chance.

Speaking in a post-match press conference, attended by Get French Football News, the Serbian side’s manager Vladan Milojevic said that his team simply could not match Monaco, who he described as being in another world.

“The intensity with which Monaco played is something that we cannot follow. It is another world. We had to always find solutions against this modern football, which we cannot rival. We came up against a team that is dominant in every aspect” said Milojevic.

High praise indeed for the Principality club, who remain unbeaten in all competitions this season and now have two wins from their first three Champions League games.
