The Copa Libertadores final got a whole lot spicier on Saturday as Atlético Mineiro and Botafogo faced off.

Despite the clubs sitting nine places apart in the Brasileirão table, there is clearly no love lost as their clash sparked into life with a sending off after just 31 seconds.

Botafogo midfielder Gregore was sent for a very early bath at the Estadio Monumental for a high-footed lunge on his opposite number Fausto Vera.

The Estrela Solitária were hoping to make history in Buenos Aires, having never previously won the competition, but this definitely wasn't what they had in mind.
