Arsenal have had a bit of luck with suspensions lately, with Mohammed Kudus suspended for West Ham, Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez out for Manchester United, Tom Cairney out for Fulham, and Wilfried Singo and Christian Mawissa Elebi out for Monaco – all during games against the Gunners.
The situation got a bit ridiculous this week, with Daniel Munoz coincidentally picking up two separate suspensions in two different competitions to miss both of Crystal Palace’s games against Arsenal.
By beating Palace, Arsenal progressed to a League Cup semi-final against Newcastle United, for which both Bruno Guimaraes and Fabian Schar will be serving first-leg suspensions.
But the luck hasn’t run out yet, with Ipswich Town captain Sam Morsy becoming the latest player to miss an Arsenal match.

Morsy was booked with Ipswich in their 4-0 defeat to Newcastle United, his fifth booking of the season. As a result, he’ll serve a one-game ban during their trip to the Emirates Stadium on Friday.
Morsy had started 16 of his team’s 17 Premier League games this season, playing all but five minutes of those matches. They’ll now have to adapt in his absence.
On the other side of the coin, Ipswich top scorer Liam Delap has just served a one-game ban at the weekend, and he’ll be back in the squad on Friday against Arsenal.

In other Ipswich team news, Chiedozie Ogbene, George Hirst, Janoi Donacien, and Axel Tuanzebe are all currently expected to miss the Arsenal game through injury.
As for the Gunners, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Bukayo Saka, and Raheem Sterling are all expected to be out as it stands.
