The first international break of the 2024/25 season has now come to an end. 11 Nerazzurri players featured for their respective nations in matches for the UEFA Nations League and 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. In total, Inter players have played a combined total of 1556 minutes with five goals scored and one assist.

Three of our players were called up by Luciano Spalletti for Italy’s matches against France and Israel in the Nations League. Davide Frattesi was the standout performer: the midfielder appeared in both clashes playing a total of 152 minutes. Frattesi’s goal came from a perfect cross from Federico Dimarco: as well as scoring from Dimarco’s assist, he was also on the scoresheet in the Azzurri win in Paris against France. In total the left-back has played 152 minutes; a full schedule for Alessandro Bastoni as he played 180 minutes in the two wins for the Azzurri.

Kristjan Asllani and Albania kicked off their Nations League League B campaign with a win against Ukraine and defeat to Georgia. The Nerazzurri midfielder played the full 90 in both matches for his National Team, who find themselves in second place in Group 1 behind Georgia who have had a perfect start.

In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America, Argentina have three points from two games, with a win and defeat. Lautaro Martinez started upfront in both of the Albiceleste’s matches against Chile and Colombia, playing a total of 169 minutes.

Three points in two games for Marcus Thuram and France, defeat in the opening Nations League match against Italy and a win against Belgium in the second match of the International Break. The Nerazzurri number 9 played up front in the second game against the Red Devils: in total Tikus has played 80 minutes over the break.

Two wins for Iran and Mehdi Taremi in the first two matches of the third phase of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers for the Asia region. The Nerazzurri forward scored the winning goal in the match against Kyrgyzstan, a match in which he captained his National Team. In total Mehdi played 188 minutes, only being subbed in stoppage time in the games against the United Arab Emirates.

Four points for the Netherlands and Denzel Dumfries in League A Group 3 of the Nations League. The Nerazzurri full-back, who played 66 minutes in the win over Bosnia-Herzgovina, proved decisive in the draw against Germany: Dumfries scored the equaliser in the 2-2 draw.

A win and a defeat for Piotr Zielinski and Poland: the midfielder, who started both games, played 82 minutes in a win away in Scotland, which came in the last breath. Zielinski then played a further 62 minutes in the defeat to Croatia in Osijek.

Two appearances for Hakan Calhanoglu for Türkiye: the National Team led by Head Coach Vincenzo Montella remains undefeated during this international break, with a draw away against Wales, and a win in Izmir against Iceland. Calhanoglu only started the second game: in total the Türkiye captain played 71 minutes in two games.
