Inter are expected to be without both Marcus Thuram and Joaquin Correa for Monday evening’s Supercoppa Italiana final against rivals Milan, reports confirm.
Thuram was taken off at half-time for precautionary reasons during Inter’s 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the Supercoppa semi-final on Thursday evening, but the final is expected to be one too soon for his return.
Reports over the weekend suggested that Correa was in line to replace him up front in Simone Inzaghi’s starting line-up.

However, while the rest of the team trained on Sunday ahead of the final, neither Thuram nor Correa were involved with the first-team group according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
In slightly more reassuring news for the Nerazzurri, neither are expected to be ruled out for a significant period of time. Thuram will not undergo new medical tests, while Correa’s absence from Sunday’s session was reportedly due to fatigue.
There is still a possibility that both make the bench for Sunday’s final against Milan.
Mehdi Taremi is expected to partner Lautaro Martinez in attack for Inter in Thuram and Correa’s absence.
