Inter star Nicolò Barella missed a training session on Tuesday due to muscle problems and is currently undergoing medical tests.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Inter and Italy star Barella missed a training session on Tuesday morning and is having medical checks due to muscle issues.

Barella was subbed off in the second half of Inter’s 2-1 loss against Milan on Sunday night, but it was unclear whether it was due to a physical problem.

Sky Sport reports that the rest of the Inter team, except the injured Tajon Buchanan, trained at Appiano Gentile today.

Inter will probably release an official fitness update on Barella if the exam confirms any injury for the Italian star.

Barella didn’t participate in Italy’s games against France and Israel earlier this month as he underwent a pre-arranged nose surgery. The 27-year-old has one goal and one assist in five appearances across all competitions this season.

He has recently signed a contract extension at the Stadio Meazza and his current deal runs out in June 2029.

Inter’s next Serie A match is away at Udinese on Saturday afternoon.
