Inter Milan are still waiting for Hakan Calhanoglu and Galatasaray to make the first move in their brewing transfer saga.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Rumours about the future of Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu have reached a fever pitch.
The basic outline of the transfer saga is now well-known.
Galatasaray want to sign Calhanoglu. However, while they can offer him big wages, they are reluctant to meet Inter’s asking price.
Meanwhile, Calhanoglu reportedly wants the move. Particularly after Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez all but called him out for flirting with Galatasaray.

Inter Milan have set the asking price for Calhanoglu at around €40 million.
However, Tuttosport note, the Nerazzurri would likely be willing to find an agreement at around €25 million.
Galatasaray, for their part, appear unwilling to offer more than €15-20 million. And in the meantime, they are also eyeing up a move for Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan.
But for now, Inter are waiting for either Galatasaray to approach them with a bid, or Calhanoglu to explicitly ask for the transfer.
If Calhanoglu leaves, Inter would prioritize Atalanta’s Ederson as his replacement. However, the 25-year-old would cost around €60 million.
Meanwhile, other targets like Nicolo Rovella or Angelo Stiller wouldn’t cost much less.
Then, Tuttosport note, Richard Rios would likely set Inter back around €30 million.
Even “low-cost” options like Genoa’s Morten Frendrup or Parma’s Mandala Keita would likely cost in the region of €25 million.
