Inter Milan and Sampdoria are weighing up a few prospective player swap deals for this summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

As far as Sampdoria players that Inter want to sign, there is just one.

The Nerazzurri have already started talks with the Blucerchiati for teenage defender Giovanni Leoni.

Leoni may be just seventeen years of age. But Inter already see him as a significant prospect for the future in defense.

Therefore, Inter are pushing to sign Leoni this summer. They could then loan him back to Sampdoria for next season.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria want to sign a few players from Inter. And this could entail a swap deal between the two clubs of some kind, given the talks for Leoni.

Inter Milan & Sampdoria Mull Over Swap Deals

Firstly, Sampdoria want to bring back Inter goalkeeper Filip Stankovic.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with the Ligurian club. And they were quite happy with his performances.

Therefore, Sampdoria’s plan would be to try and sign Stankovic this summer, whether on a permanent basis or on another loan.

But Stankovic is not the only Inter player who Sampdoria are keen to bring back.

Striker Sebastiano Esposito also spent last season on loan with the Blucerchiati.

The 22-year-old had looked close to joining Empoli this summer. But he reportedly has put the brakes on that deal, as he prefers a move back to Sampdoria.

Then, there is also Sebastiano’s brother Francesco Pio Espsoito.

The 18-year-old is another attacking target for Sampdoria. They in fact want to sign both brothers.

Therefore, there are several different players who Inter and Sampdoria have had up for discussion in meetings this summer.

As such, the possibility is certainly there that the two clubs could work out a swap deal.
