Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has been able to enjoy a positive international break as he has much of his squad available to him.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri tactician has been afforded the rare luxury of being able to focus on working with his team on the training ground with limited absences.
Much of this availability has been down to niggling injuries that have ruled players out of international duty, but Inzaghi has been able to put the group together to work on tactics ahead of a gruelling April schedule.
Goalkeeper Yann Sommer and defender Francesco Acerbi remained behind, along with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whilst Denzel Dumfries, Nicola Zalewski, Marcus Thuram, and Lautaro Martinez have returned to the club following minor injury complaints on international duty.
Dumfries and Martinez will undergo scans on Monday, but the rest of the squad are expected to be able to participate in training this week, with Stefan De Vrij stepping up his return from a knee injury.
Inter face Udinese in Serie A at the weekend, before turning their attention to a Coppa Italia semi-final against AC Milan.
April also sees Inzaghi’s side face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final, as well as league games against Parma, Cagliari, Bologna, and AS Roma in their pursuit of the scudetto.
