Inter Milan talisman Lautaro Martinez dropped a massive hint about his future after a match-winning performance against Feyenoord.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia via FCInterNews, El Toro confirmed his desire to spend the rest of his career at the San Siro.
Lautaro Martinez reached an unprecedented feat in Inter’s Champions League history tonight.
Indeed, he netted his 18th goal for the club in Europe’s elite club competition.
Therefore, he became the Nerazzurri’s record-time goalscorer, surpassing the legendary Sandro Mazzola.
El Toro’s goal came five minutes from the break, but Marcus Thuram drew first blood at De Kuip.
Despite not faring well amid an injury-riddled spell, the Frenchman returned to the scoresheet when it mattered the most.
Meanwhile, Lautaro praised Inter’s showing in Rotterdam.
“I’m very happy with this win because, despite the difficulties, the team showed up,” he said.
“In the first half, we could have done better, but overall, we played a great game in a tough stadium.
“Now we focus on the league, and then we’ll think about the return leg, approaching it as if the score is 0-0.”
“Pride is the first word that comes to mind. I didn’t imagine reaching this milestone,” he claimed. “I’ve worked incredibly hard.
“People who know me understand the sacrifices and work I’ve put in. But it doesn’t stop here, I want more.

“I work at my best. I’d love to spend my whole career at Inter, I’m happy here.
Then, he admitted he’d like to finish his career at Giuseppe Meazza.
“I renewed my contract after the Copa America,” El Toro admitted. “I had many offers on the table, but I chose to stay, and I’m very happy.”
Finally, he addressed Inter’s ambitions for the rest of the season.
“I can’t say winning the Champions League is the only goal, that would be a lie,” he stated.
“We always think game by game. Despite the difficulties, the group has come through.
“Many players have made efforts in unfamiliar roles. We’ve been playing every two days for seven months, and that aspect matters a lot.
“We’re always on the pitch defending this shirt.
“I’ve been saying for a while now; the fans should be calm because the group will always give its best.”
