Inter Miami has ruled out the idea of appointing Xavi Hernandez as their next coach due to a strained relationship with some of his former Barcelona teammates who are now part of the America club, reports SPORT.
While Xavi’s name has been linked to the Florida-based team recently, this speculation has been based on the idea that he could reunite with the former Barça players who form the core of Inter Miami’s squad.
However, Inter Miami have not publicly confirmed any potential interest in Xavi. In fact, it seems that the club never seriously considered him for the role.
There have been no discussions between the club and Xavi’s camp, unlike their interactions with other potential candidates.
The reason for this is largely due to the known tensions between Xavi and certain members of the Barça dressing room, which have been a factor in the club’s decision.

Xavi’s relationship with Lionel Messi has generally been professional and cordial, though reports suggest that it has cooled off in recent times.
On the other hand, his connection with Sergio Busquets has always been strong. The two have maintained a solid footballing bond, first as teammates at Barça and later when Xavi was coaching the team’s technical staff.
The biggest issue, however, seems to lie with Jordi Alba. While their relationship is no longer in a particularly bad state, it is clear that both the personal and professional ties between Xavi and Alba have been broken.
This has created an atmosphere that would make it difficult for Xavi to work alongside certain players at Inter Miami.
In conclusion, despite the speculation linking Xavi with Inter Miami, it seems that his strained relationships with key players at the club have led the team to rule out any possibility of him taking charge.
The lack of a harmonious environment within the dressing room would make it challenging for Xavi and his staff to step into such a role.
