Inter Miami come into their next MLS fixture on a high, having won their last four league matches. Their most recent outing was a 1-2 victory over the New England Revolution, in which Messi made yet more MLS history.
Manager Javier Mascherano has achieved what he wanted since returning from the Club World Cup, with the Herons getting closer to the top of the table. They enter the weekend just seven points behind Eastern Conference leaders FC Cincinnati with three games in hand after taking 13 from their last 15 possible.
However, the real test lies ahead. Three of their next four matches come against top-tier opposition, including a showdown with Nashville this weekend and two clashes with Cincinnati.
Still, Inter Miami will feel confident heading into the matchup with Nashville. They’re unbeaten in their last seven meetings against Nashville, winning the last three with an aggregate score of 8-3.
But this season, Nashville is second in the East, one point behind the leader, and on a club-record 15 unbeaten matches in all competitions and five consecutive wins. Those are frightening numbers. They just beat DC United 5-2. A brace from in-form striker Sam Surridge in the quarterfinals of the US Open Cup on Wednesday. B.J. Callaghan's team will be looking to put up a tough fight against Inter Miami.

Lionel Messi has done it again, scoring another brace last week. When he's playing at this level, it's very difficult for Inter Miami to lose points, no matter how many goals they concede.
However, head coach Javier Mascherano admitted that he originally intended to give Lionel Messi a bit of rest before ultimately playing him the full 90 minutes against New England. He’s since acknowledged that the 38-year-old will “need a break at some point.”
The Argentine manager continues to face defensive setbacks and hopes to recover troops soon, while asking for reinforcements for the club to be able to achieve great objectives
On the other side, Nashville SC , hold the club's all-time record of 15 games without losing, and they boast of having the English player Sam Surridge, as the top goal-getter ( 16 goals and 21 assist) , in the MLS at the moment , after scoring a brace in his previous match against DC United.
While Inter Miami is on a four-match winning streak and they have never lost against Nashville, the Coyotes want to continue breaking records and win their 16th consecutive game this season.
