As Tottenham Hotspur prepares for a critical stretch in their season, Ange Postecoglou’s squad continues to be hindered by injury concerns. With the club gearing up for a vital Europa League quarter-final and Premier League fixtures ahead, the recovery of key players is essential for their ambitions. While the injury situation is more manageable than it was a month ago, several notable players, including Dejan Kulusevski, Kevin Danso, Richarlison, and Radu Dragusin, remain sidelined.
Dejan Kulusevski’s absence has been keenly felt in recent weeks, with the Swedish winger missing several games due to a foot injury. While he was initially expected to miss more time, Tottenham fans will be hopeful of his return for the crucial Europa League quarter-final first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ange Postecoglou provided some optimism about Kulusevski’s recovery, noting that the injury was not serious and would not require surgery. “He is unlikely to be back before the international break, but nothing serious and no surgery or anything,” Postecoglou explained. Following the defeat to Fulham, the Spurs manager further clarified, “Post the international break, we expect him to sort of start to move back towards the team.”
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his exact return date, Kulusevski’s potential availability for the Europa League clash is a significant boost for Tottenham. His creativity and pace on the wing will be key in their push for success.
Kevin Danso, who has impressed since joining Tottenham on a loan-to-buy deal from French side Lens, has also been sidelined by injury. The 24-year-old centre-back has been unavailable since early March due to a thigh injury. Postecoglou has been clear about his expectations for Danso’s return, stating that the defender should be fit to rejoin the squad after the international break. “We’re at the point in the season where everyone wants to push, both those guys [Kulusevski and Danso] are keen to get back into the fold,” said Postecoglou.

Danso’s return will provide much-needed depth to Tottenham’s defensive options as they look to strengthen for the business end of the season. With key games in both domestic and European competitions approaching, his return will help alleviate some of the defensive pressures the team has been facing.
Richarlison’s season has been marred by injury problems, preventing him from building up consistent form and fitness. After his last appearance in the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Liverpool in February, the Brazilian has struggled to regain full fitness. However, Postecoglou confirmed that Richarlison has returned to light training and is nearing a full recovery.
“After the international break, we don’t play until the following midweek, so that’s a good two and a half weeks for guys like him and Richy to work hard and speed up their rehab,” said the Spurs boss. With Richarlison back in training, Tottenham supporters will be hoping the striker can make a timely return to provide support to Harry Kane and bolster the attack.

Radu Dragusin’s injury has been one of the more serious concerns for Tottenham. The 21-year-old defender underwent surgery for a significant knee injury sustained in February, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. While Dragusin was expected to provide additional depth in defence, his injury will likely delay his involvement until the following season.
Potential return date: Summer 2025. While Dragusin’s recovery timeline is unfortunate for Tottenham, the club will need to focus on building defensive resilience for the remainder of this season.
