Piotr Zielinski will miss the first leg of the upcoming Champions League semifinal tie between Barcelona and Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski has been out for more than a month now.

The former Napoli and Empoli midfielder suffered a calf problem in Inter’s Serie A match against Monza in March.

And Zielinski still has not been able to return. He has been out for a slew of league matches. And the Polish international also missed both legs of Inter’s Champions League quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich.

According to Sky Sport Italia, a return is not that close on the horizon for Piotr Zielinski.

The 30-year-old will still require a decent chunk of time in his recovery process.

And with Inter playing twice a week for the foreseeable future, that means that the Pole could be out for quite a few more matches.

Zielinski will miss this weekend’s Serie A match away to Bologna. And he will also be out against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia in midweek.

Then, Sky report, Zielinski is also not likely to return in Inter’s subsequent Serie A match against Roma.

Nor, anticipates the broadcaster, will the midfielder be back for the first leg of Inter’s Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona at the end of the month,
