Real Madrid are of course currently in the USA, to play their part in the newly-formatted FIFA Club World Cup.
Xabi Alonso’s troops were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Saudi outfit Al-Hilal in their tournament opener on Wednesday evening.
A day on, the capital heavyweights’ squad, in turn, got back to work on the training pitch.
And as alluded to above, featuring front and centre in as much was an altogether noteworthy figure.
After missing the final weeks of the recently-completed campaign, as well as Real’s Club World Cup bow, whilst recovering from knee surgery, Antonio Rüdiger was at last given the green light to rejoin group activities on the grass.
The experienced defender, in turn, could yet return to matchday duties against Pachuca this coming Sunday.
