Injured Real Madrid midfield superstar may return to action by October end – report | OneFootball

Real Madrid have officially kickstarted their preparations for the new season, with coach Xabi Alonso looking to make a considerable impact in his first season at the club.

However, Alonso has been bogged down by several issues plaguing the club, including a lack of depth in the defensive unit and the concerning form of Raul Asencio.

Perhaps more importantly, Alonso will have to start the season without the services of star man Jude Bellingham, who decided to go through surgery to treat his recurrent shoulder injury.

Bellingham was subsequently ruled out for a period of around 10-12 weeks, leading many to assume that he will miss the better part of the first half of the season.

Bellingham to return by October end

A recent report from MARCA, to that end, has offered a crucial update on Bellingham’s injury, notably giving a potential time frame for his return to action.

It appears Bellingham is recovering well and could return to full fitness by the end of October – just in time for a huge fixture on Real Madrid’s calendar.

The Englishman, who has been recuperating quietly in England, was recently seen without a sling for the first time since surgery.

Fans even spotted him walking calmly through the streets of London, with a visible scar marking the procedure.

If all goes according to plan, Bellingham could be back in time for the first Clásico of the season, scheduled for October 26.

Bellingham’s return would come as a massive boost to Real Madrid, who will rely on his creativity and scoring prowess as they aim to wrestle back the La Liga title and challenge for Champions League glory.
