A sale of one key Chelsea player this summer now looks inevitable as initial talks have been confirmed to have taken place.
Chelsea are getting to work right now on moving players out the door before the end of the transfer window in a few weeks time. This week has been all about outgoing deals and getting rid of unwanted players.
In fact, those unwanted players have been forced to train alone in a separate group from the main squad as they sort moves away for all of them.
And it was also confirmed last night that Chelsea are going to be receiving £45m from new Premier League side Burnley this window after selling both Armando Broja and Lesley Ugochukwu to them this week.
Another player who looks set to leave is striker Nicolas Jackson. He wont exactly be one of the ‘unwanted players’ that I spoke about above, but Chelsea will certainly sell him and I now believe it to be inevitable that he does leave this window.

Newcastle are looking for a new striker and could be a genuine option for Jackson. I can see him going there, but Chelsea are asking for a very high fee for him.
Journalist Ben Jacobs posted on X last night:
“More on Nicolas Jackson and Newcastle. Initial talks have already taken place.
“Chelsea are prepared to sanction an exit. Newcastle were fully focused on Benjamin Sesko, but are now considering whether to make an approach.
“Chelsea value Jackson around £80m.”
He’s a great player but he’s had a rather up and down time at Chelsea so far. I think some fans will be upset if he leaves but others not so much. It’ll be a mixed reaction really.
