Having conceded that no clubs are willing to pay their original £25 million asking price, Manchester United chiefs have lowered Jadon Sancho’s asking price to just £17 million.
It comes after a considerable lack of interest in the forward since he returned to Manchester following his Chelsea loan, which saw the Blues pay a £5m penalty to bypass their buy obligation.
Unfortunately, it sent United back to square one as to what they do with a player they forked out a ludicrous £73m for.

Reports had suggested throughout the summer that Sancho had been edging closer to a move to Juventus – until David Ornstein spoke out to squash the rumours and question where they’d stemmed from in the first place.
In light of the 25-year-old struggling to garner suitors, United will now demand a whole £8m less than they initially wanted, but it has opened the door for one side to establish their interest.
Indeed, Borussia Dortmund are now back in the mix for their former star, with Ben Jacobs claiming they’re ‘currently debating’ whether to make an approach in the coming days.

It’s a transfer that’ll likely appeal to Sancho, given how he’s failed to ever reach the prolific form he displayed with the Bundesliga outfit in his first stint.
The forward spent four years at the Signal Iduna Park after signing from Manchester City’s youth ranks, and proceeded to become one of the hottest prospects in world football. When he departed for United in 2021, he’d racked up a hugely impressive 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances across all competitions.
Of course, he then returned to the club in the aftermath of his fallout with Erik ten Hag, joining in a six-month loan spell in the second half of 2023/2024. Sancho featured 21 times, returning three goals and three assists.
