Mauricio Pochettino has just posted a picture to Instagram which seems to gently suggest that he’s staying at Chelsea next season, despite no confirmation from him or the owners yet arriving.

“Big thanks to Chelsea family in our first season really appreciated your support” was the caption added to a photo of him at yesterday’s post-match lap of appreciation.

You can never read too much into these things, but to us it’s a pretty clear hint that he believes he’s sticking around next season. The infamous meeting with the owners will happen soon, then we will all know for sure.

Pochettino has played both sides here – a few weeks ago he was very darkly hinting that he and his staff could walk away. But a great run of results has catapulted them into Europe and now everyone is all smiles and looking ahead to next season.
