Queens Park Rangers have been strongly linked with a move for Peterborough United winger Kwame Poku.
Peterborough are said to have agreed deals with QPR, Swansea City and another unnamed club for Poku, while it has been reported that the 23-year-old is set for a medical with the Rs after they hijacked Scottish giants Rangers' move for the player and agreed a compensation fee.
Bringing in a player like Poku would be another real statement of intent from QPR, after they appointed former Stade Rennais and Strasbourg head coach Julien Stephan as Marti Cifuentes' replacement earlier this week.
Football League World's QPR fan pundit, Louis Moir, has spoken about the potential addition of Poku, and he believes that, if a deal can be completed, it would be the best signing of the summer in the Championship.
"I think if we manage to pull off the signing of Poku it would be a real statement," Louis said.
"Initially, obviously, from the reaction today to the news itself, you have got fans of not just QPR, but other clubs commenting saying 'how have they managed that?'.
"I think it is a testament to the way we are being run now, where we can potentially attract these sorts of players, who are wanted by loads of clubs.
"Hijacking the move for him to come to us instead of Rangers, I mean that is just massive really.
"Obviously, the deal still needs to get over the line, but I think if we manage to pull it off, it would just be one of potentially many signings this summer that show we are a really attractive club to join, especially for younger players.
"They are going to see what players have been at QPR and how they have developed, and I just think the way we are being run now with Nourry in charge of recruitment and stuff like that, with an exciting manager, really puts us in a good position to kick on.
"I truly believe we are building something special, and if we can get a player like that coming in, then that would just be quite brilliant business.
"I'd be surprised if we managed to get our hands on him, as he is arguably one of, if not the best, wingers in League One. His numbers last season were really, really impressive, and he looks like one of those players who can step up to the Championship with no problems at all.
"We lack goals and creativity from out wide, so he could really come in and make that right-winger position his own. It would be really, really exciting if we managed to get a player like that coming in.
"We would have beaten of interest from a number of clubs, including clubs that are bigger than us as well, so fingers crossed we can get it done.
"I'm not exaggerating when I say that he could well be one of the biggest and best signings in the Championship this summer."
QPR are certainly not the only club that has been linked with a move for Poku this summer, which would make the signing that bit sweeter if the Rs can get the deal over the line.
Peterborough's Director of Football, Barry Fry, revealed last month that 26 clubs in England and abroad were interested in Poku, according to the player's agent, which shows how much of a coup it would be if the Rs won the race for his signature.
