Serie A giants Juventus picked up a 2-1 win over Lecce in the league yesterday and it was a crucial win that helped the Bianconeri get back into the top four.
In fact, Juve are now up to third in the table and one point above Atalanta, who take on Bologna tomorrow in a game that can potentially help the Bianconeri for the remainder of the season as the Rossoblu are at fifth and only two behind Juve.
Igor Tudor is now unbeaten as manager of Juventus and after the close win over Lecce, he was asked about whether he is already thinking his future in Turin.
He said, via TMW: “I always answer the same, I’m happy and I’m coaching Juventus, preparing for tomorrow morning’s training.”
Juve’s second goal was a beautiful one and was finished by Kenan Yildiz. Tudor was asked if that goal was reminiscent of what Thiago Motta was trying to achieve.
He said: “I don’t like to make comparisons with anyone, especially with coaches who have been here, I don’t think it’s kind: it was a beautiful goal, that’s for sure. We trained to develop the game on the wings, helping the players to find themselves better.”
Tudor made it clear that he wasn’t happy with how the game ended even if the first 70 to 80 minutes were rather impressive. Indeed, Juventus should have scored more goals in the game – especially in the first half, when they had a raft of chances to increase their lead.
