Nicknamed the 'Guinean Messi', Ibrahima Traoré has stunned everyone by signing with DJK Gnadental, a club competing in LL Niederrhein-Gr. 1, the equivalent of Germany's sixth division, during this summer transfer window.

Here are five things you need to know about the Syli National fans' favorite.

Ibou Traoré retired at the end of the 2020-2021 season. He is now making a comeback to football after a four-year break from the game.

At 37 years old, he will continue his career in Germany, this time with the lower-division club DJK Gnadental, purely for the love of the game.
He spent his entire professional career in Germany, playing for Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart, and Borussia M'gladbach.

The Villepinte native really made his mark at Borussia M'gladbach, where he scored 11 goals and delivered 16 assists across 132 appearances in all competitions.
A former captain of the Guinean national team, he netted 8 goals in 49 matches between 2010 and 2019.
