Harry Maguire rescued a Europa League point for Manchester United at FC Porto in a dramatic 3-3 draw, but the pressure remains on Erik ten Hag after his side threw away a two-goal lead.

It was another frustrating night for United fans, especially those who had the challenging midweek trip to FC Porto – facing several flight delays and cancellations due to fog in the process.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund gave United the perfect start in Portugal, but it was short-lived as FC Porto scored two goals to equalise before the break.

Porto scored a third early in the second half and led by a goal for most of the second half until Maguire’s stoppage-time equaliser made it 3-3.

Bruno Fernandes was sent off for the second consecutive match.

Speaking after the match, Maguire revealed that the manager and staff spoke to the players at full-time after the reported commented on how long they were kept inside the dressing room.

Maguire admitted that United allowed too many crosses to enter the box. Two of Porto’s goals came from Diogo Dalot’s side.

The centre-back believes his team-mates need to work on their belief to move forward. He also offered his support to under-fire manager Erik ten Hag.
