'I have a style that I like' - Toni Kroos opens up on fashion aspirations | OneFootball

Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos hung up his boots this past summer when Germany bid farewell to Euro 2024, but he's still making waves away from the pitch - especially in fashion.

While the former midfielder has impressed in stylish formal wear and dressed-down athleisure on many occasions, his link up with Swedish-based brand Marc O'Polo in September marked the true transition from his career on the pitch to a life as a celebrated global star.

Kroos was announced as the new menswear testimonial for Marc O'Polo in time for their Fall/Winter 2024 campaign. The German styled puffer coats, knitted cardigans and warm jumpers as he posed for numerous brand photos - which have since been blown up into billboards across Europe.

"It's important to have a sponsor like Mar O'Polo," he told Marca in an extensive interview. "To be honest, it's good for me. I don't do crazy things and I choose brands that suit me, that have a style that I like and that are serious. But I haven't decided that there should be such a big image in Madrid!

"I haven't been there, I haven't seen it," he laughed when asked about the large images of him plastered across the Spanish capital. "I've been sent lots of photos. I'm not ashamed, but I haven't gone to see it either."

While Kroos has made the decision to bring an end to his football career, the Madrid star has admitted that he is still working hard, whether that be as a model or as a coach.

"My life is different, but I think I work more than before. I want things to go well and for that you have to work. My life is not real many times, that's the truth, and that's why I try to help as much as possible," he said.

Marc O'Polo celebrated the launch of their Fall/Winter campaign last week, throwing a party to mark their collaboration with the German star. Kroos will undoubtedly continue to earn his way in the fashion world, cementing his legacy as a global star.
