Former Wigan Athletic and Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega scored the Colombian League-winning goal for his side Santa Fé despite being injured.
Santa Fé defeated Independiente Medellín 2-1 in the second leg of the final with the 39-year-old pushing through the pain barrier to net the winner.
Rodallega scored in the 79th minute, by which time he was visibly in pain and about to come off. Indeed, just moments before the scoring, the striker was seen being consoled by his teammates and even opponents while in tears.
The decisive moment came seconds later when a goal kick was nodded down to Rodallega who struggled to get the ball out wide to Edwar López on the right side.
López did well to pull the ball back and somehow the veteran striker had managed to hobble into the box and in the perfect position to stroke the ball home with his injured leg.
Rodallega could only hobble away as celebrations went on around him with 39-year-old then being replaced for the final minutes of the game after having proven to be decisive.
